Afro-Caribbean Society is a club which acts as a comfort zone for those of that heritage but open to everyone to be themselves meet other people of different cultures and be able to discuss problems which they face being of Afro-Caribbean heritage. We also like to have socials such as games nights, film nights, quiz nights etc. which are a release for the students so they can take their mind off of uni for a bit. Furthermore we also encourage and want to do our best to help students reach that next stage post grad by hearing talks from those in industry jobs and those who have just entered it.

A relaxed, fun and friendly atheltics club which caters for all abilities. We hold 4 sessions a week for various levels of training and in addition, we regularly meet for sober and non-sober socials.

We aim to encourage as many people as possible to take up running and maintain their fitness, from experienced runners to beginners.

We compete in the London Universities League (LUCA) for cross country and athletics; this includes 5 cross country races, 1 indoor and 3 outdoor track meets each season. As well as our highlight fixture of the year, BUCS XC, we also attend various road and relay races such as the Hyde Park and Teddy Hall Relays. Some of our training is also catered towards the Reading Half Marathon in the Spring as we gradually increase in fitness and distance over time.

A society bringing together people with a common interest in birds - beginners and seasoned ornithologists alike - in a casual, fun setting. We aim to educate people on the issues faced by bird species currently, as well as engaging people with the more interesting and unusual facts that come from the avian world. Our main sessions involve walks where we share facts and practice identification on local bird species, and online sessions that can range from a film night to a quiz.
