Low maintenance is the term that comes to mind when one thinks of Windsor. We understand that double beds are appealing, and large kitchens may be practical. However, Windsor is renowned for being the social hall on campus. What do you expect when we live, eat and sleep in park bar? (the most popular place on campus, located just outside).
Ensure that you integrate as much as possible from an early stage. As former Freshers, we are aware that moving out for the first time can be daunting. However, the advice I am sure all parents will provide and we concur is that, 'everyone is in the same boat' and it will be the best year of your life to date, so get stuck in and make the most of the independence.
As a catered hall, all meals are provided. The allowance provided on access cards is flexible and ensures that nobody succumbs to the impoverished student stereotype. With six food outlets located in and around campus to suit all needs and wants, you’ll never be too far from something to eat. Although we would advise to set aside a small amount in your weekly budget for those extra treats to buy from the local stores located on and around the campus.
Windsor, Greenow and McCombie is home to 350 students and is the smallest hall of the 'Park Group’ halls. One of our proudest achievements is successfully winning inter hall DJ battle for now six years in a row (one of the best events you’ll experience in freshers fortnight)
People are what make Windsor Hall what it is and we are proud to represent it around campus. EVERYONE knows someone who lives in Windsor.
We are extremely excited to meet you and if you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch with us, there is no such thing as a stupid question! We will do our best to get back to you ASAP.
In the meantime we highly encourage that the incoming fresher’s join this Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/WindsorHallJCR2019/ , to remain updated about current and future events that will take place.
See you in September!
