A society aiming to further the academic learning and integration of Real Estate and Planning students through a thriving and full property focused social calendar.
So you’re here at Reading because you want a career in Real Estate? Well, you’ve come to the right place! However, as a people profession, one of the keys to having a successful career is having the ability to build strong business relationships; this is where we come in. The Reading Real Estate Society’s aim is to support and enhance everything the nation’s number one property course gives you by connecting you with the real world – the perfect environment to hone your skills and kick-start your property career. We will help apply theory to practice through a variety of industry visits, talks and seminars to give you an insight into all aspects of the sector and help create that all important list of career contacts. Highlights from last year included a tour of London’s West-end property market and visits to Knight Frank and JLL.
Supporting us is the Reading Real Estate Foundation (RREF), an alumni association set-up to support you in forging strong industry links within this people profession; and it doesn’t stop there! The society also provides workshops to help you with anything from building and improving your CV to finding contacts for work experience and internships, to advice on how to get the most out of your time at Reading and help you kick-start your career.
But it's not all suits and ties... We organise a great deal of sporting, social and charity functions throughout the year. The main event of the year being the RRES Christmas Ball, arguably the biggest event of the uni calendar. This isn't one to be missed so get joining and take part!
