The Afro-Caribbean Society at the University of Reading is aimed at creating a comfortable space, which inspires, educates, entertains and engages its members.

We are interested in the issues concerning Afro Caribbean students and for individuals in our larger student body at the university, and also giving a place where you can learn new and beautiful things about other cultures.

We host a range of different events across the year to suit everyone. From nights out to debates and discussions, as well as inviting guest speakers to inspire our members. We host a "Take Me Out" parody in February for valentines and have many more events throughout the year. We have our very own football, basketball and netball teams who regularly train and take part in friendly matches and tournaments throughout the year. So there are a lot of activities for people to get involved with.

As a member you can:

  1. Get discounts for our events and special nights
  2. Join our sports teams
  3. receive e-mails from businesses with exclusive career opportunities
  4. Socialise, let your voice be heard
  5. Feel at home within the University of Reading Community

This society is open to EVERY STUDENT at the University Of Reading, as well as local community members. So feel FREE to come along to all our events!
