RUPhotoSoc is for those with an interest in taking photos, whether you’re just starting out or an old hand. We meet weekly to explore different styles of photography and organise monthly trips outside of Reading to practice. Both digital and film photographers are welcome, so get involved either way!
We meet up Tuesdays in the Palmer building in the middle of campus, room 104. We have a variety of activities, including talks, workshops, photo walks, trips, and competitions.
Don't have a camera? Not a problem, members have access to our darkroom, cameras, and a variety of equipment.

Sessions for the Autumn term 2019
Some of these sessions may change a little so please check back regularly to keep up to date. We will notify members by email and our Facebook Page.
This year the photography society is running a series of sessions in our darkroom. This is a great opportunity for those interested in film photography but haven't had a chance yet to do analogue printing. We supply chemicals and paper on a pay for what you use basis.
Darkroom Fee: £10.15
If you are interested in using the darkroom in your free time, please contact us. Send us a message on our Facebook page or email us (we will reply faster on the Facebook page!).
Are you part of a society/sports-society? Do you want us to photgraph your event? We're keen!
If you are part of any other society and require photography for your social media or website message us and we may be able to sort something out! This year we are really interested in collaborating with Reading Knights Sports teams and other Societies so don't hesitate to drop us a message. Things we'd be interested in photographing: sports events, training sessions, portraits in general, religious festivals, socials (paid gig), political conferneces/debates, music events, and so on!
