Knights Accreditation:

Welcome to the Reading Knights American Football Club. We are a successful team that play our competitive matches in BUCS Division 1A South. Our team competes to be the best of the division and even the league, we were in the playoffs for two consecutive years before last, of which we narrowly missed out on last season. We also finished the season off on a high by smashing our rivals the Oxford Brookes Panthers at the university Varsity.

We are looking to strengthen our squad, with players of all shapes and sizes welcome, as we look to compete for the division title this year and hope to push on further in the playoffs. This will set us up for big things in the coming year, especially with the return of our annual weekend training camp in October.

You don’t need to have any experience or knowledge of the sport, just turn up with the right attitude and our team of coaches will have you scoring touchdowns in no time! We have a great community spirit and love welcoming new members with regular socials and get togethers - you’ll always find us watching NFL games on a Sunday night in Park Bar.

We have a good relationship with many other University sport societies, we support each others events and games, and go on socials with them. The Knights Cheerleading Team are one of these societies, we share loads of socials together and they are always keen to support us at our home games as well we support them in their competitions.

Make sure you stop by during the Freshers Sports Fayre to chat to our committee members and sign up for our taster day. If you ever spot us chucking a ball around on campus, don’t hesitate to come say hello. Membership includes transport, training fees, match registration, kit hire and socials.
