Our fully licenced coach Andras really helped the society grow last year. Thanks to him and the hard work of the players, the individuals and the teams improved greatly, and we had a very good back end to the season.
All training takes place on the squash courts in Sports Park.
For those seeking competitive play the society runs a women’s team and 3 men’s teams, with team trials commencing on the 1st October in our team training session.
Over the past few years we have maintained very competitive teams. Both of our 1st teams for men and women are in their respective South Eastern 2nd divisions. Our mens 3rd team got promoted last season so will join our mens 2nd team in the 3rd division this year.
All teams will play around 10 games throughout the year both home and away.
We invite all members of the society to attend monthly socials. These will include themed nights to union, pub crawls, tournaments and nights out with other university societies, just to name a few. If you have any ideas you think could be particularly fun, give Kyle or Kev our social secs a message.
We hope to see lots of new and old faces during freshers week. Come find us at the sports society fair on 26th of September to meet the committee and to ask us any questions. This year promises to be the best yet!
