The Stephen Lawrence Student Media Centre is home to our student-led media outlets: Junction11 Radio, The Spark Newpaper, The Spark Digital Team, and the brand new Reading Uni News. These media streams are run by student committees, led by the Student Activities Officer.

The Media Centre was officially opened in 2013 by Symon Sentain, Chair of the Trustees of the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.

Join Campus Media!

Develop real experience in a media outlet whilst learning a range of skills. Student Media is a must for anyone wishing to work within the media industry, or someone looking for a creative outlet. Our Student Media members are invited to attend the national conference and awards for their chosen Media stream each year.

Whether you want to write for our student newspaper, be a published photographer, present your own radio show, or make films, we have a place for you here within our Student Media streams.
